Bangkok, Thailand Haul

Sawadeakap! Just back from Bangkok and I seriously in love with Thailand, the atmosphere, culture and etc. Peoples there are so friendly! When I mean friendly, it's really veryyy friendlyyy! The taxi driver even open my door when reach the destination, he ran down immediately when he stopped the car and open the door, like it's too nice of him as I can open by myself yah? Too nice! And the sales person all smiling with you, felt like you're in your home but other country. Would definitely revisit, and not to mention shopping heaven! Everything there is cheap so I do this haul first okay :)

Later on I'll post a review post (After I tried all stuff and write what is recommend) + What I regret I didn't buy more + What in my list to purchase in next trip!

And of course I did some surveys before going so hope these helps!

1. Big C
First stop we went it's a local hypermarket that sells literally everything, from grocery to clothing items. So it's like a heaven to us to shop all those Thailand foods etc. This is my to go list and everything there is in cheap or reasonable price.

~ Trident chewing gum (with fillings)
This is rare to me as we don't have with fillings one in Malaysia, so I brought all flavours to try out!
~ Coconut chips
Coconut chips is a must buy in Thailand
~ MAMA instant noodles shrimp
I brought one only cause this is available in some supermarket in Malaysia
~ MAMA clear soup mee hoon
My friend actually recommend this to me, that not available in other country so I brought one pack      to try (Actually not eating instant noodles that often, just to try okay haha)
~ Koh-Kae Peanuts (Shrimp)
~ Koh-Kae Peanuts (Wasabi)
~ Manora fried crab chips
I tried this when on my Jan'15 trip, few months back trip to I don't know which island is that, by          Cruise so I not sure, the Thailand shopkeeper recommend me this and I kinda like it!
~ Stikko chocolate sticks
~ Triple M seaweed
I am a fans of seaweeds, especially Tao Kae Noi, so I saw a lot of reviews of Thailand haul, they        recommended this and I brought two to try. The reason I didn't buy Tao Kae Noi in Bangkok is it's      available here so no point I buy in Thailand right? *blush*
~ Chilli sauce
My mum brought this... Not sure why but people recommend to her so... Should be nice cause            buying chilli sauce is wried I think hahaha
~ Pocky (Strawberry)
Special edition that not available in Malaysia, they have those tom yum, blueberries but I think it's      wried, I tried before, not my liking sorry~
~ Bento Squid seafood snack
Again, saw this in review so immediately grab two pack

Some are not purchased in Big C so I only list what I brought below.

~ Soap (The red color packaging)
Not knowing what brand but seems like popular, my friend said her sister brought a dozen of this        cause it cure pimples etc. So grab a few since it's like 40 baht?
~ MaiThong Mangoesteen soap
It's beside the red color packaging but this's pricier a bit, and smaller of course. Maithong brand is      so popular in Thailand so I brought one for my sis to try.
~ Ponds magic BB powder
Again, not available here so I tried one since review is so good
~ Teeth polishing whitening
~ Spa Milk salt
~ Snake brand shower gel
Never seen this before so grab super pack to try, looks good
~ Snake brand prickly heat
Used this before and very good for cooling, seriously chilling
~ Vasaline mini size ( not sure I brought in local pharmacy or Big C)
~ Snail white cream

2. Local pharmacy

~ Nasal inhaler
This for relief when dizziness in boat or for mosquito bite, so I think can buy 1 to try. Others              usually brought a dozen haha

~ Pearl powder cream
This is cheap and I saw good review, and it contain pearl powder! It's very expensive if you buy          pearl powder to eat isn't?
~ Rasyan herbal clove toothpaste
Saw this at a IG shop and selling for 20+, so I brought a few to try

3. Boots

~ Boots mosquito repellent spray (yellow bottle)
~ Boots Caribbean cocktail kiss me lip balm

I don't have time when I pass by Boots, or else I'll buy more, not to mention the sales girl is very friendly! Can speak fluently in both english and mandarin. Thumbs up for that!

4. NaRaYa

This shop is a must go for traveller, it's a famous local brand! I dislike using the big bag (cloth material) so I only purchase small pouches etc. I think this brand is so famous and liking by so many tourist is because it's cheap and well made. I pass by NaRaYa shop 3 times! And it's always crowded, not going to lie I didn't plan to buy anything at first

~ Mirror attached cosmetic pouch (Pink and stripes)
~ Cosmetic bag (polka dot)
~ Big cosmetic bag

5. Beauty Buffet

Thai local beauty brand. I really like the theme of the shop, so girly and their product name is so simple and cute! The bakery collection for example, doesn't it sounds so good?

I saw review to buy is the Q10 milk lotion, facial form and the lip smack. I've too many body lotion so I didn't buy that. I must say that their make up palette and collection is stinky cute! Eyeshadow in macaroons shape and palette is like urban decay chocolate series.

~The bakery lip smack
This have two pack (Day and night) but I think brought the day one only) This particular version can change lip color according to your temperature to pink~

6. Beauty Cottage

Very vintage feel, the theme of the shop. Thailand local shop, but I think it's slightly pricy compare to Korea local brand such as Etude house. Their product for eyebrow is less than RM15 or maybe RM10. This is quite luxury I can say for Thailand.

The review I've seen is for buying their solid perfume and perfume, memory of love that smells like Chloe, but I've tons of perfume so I only get another stuff people recommended.

~ Forever beauty loose powder #1 Natural
2 shades available, I tried and I think I suit this better

7. 7-Eleven

It's right beside the hotel I stay, really a heaven for foods! I hope Malaysia's 7-Eleven could be like this! Taiwan, Korea, Japan 7-Eleven is so nice, but ours.. :(

~ Bento squid seafood snack (Original)
The one I brought in Big C is medium spicy, unfortunately original is out-of-stock. So I've no              choice to buy in 7-Eleven and of course it's pricier but forget how much. 10 baht each?
~ One piece chips
Souvenirs for one piece lover, my bros
~ Shrimps, lala crispy chips
Looks new to me so brought to try out
~ Thai local tea
   The sales person recommend this.
~ Ice breakers sours
I like sour sweets so brought one to try~
~ Tic tac banana
~ Freeze-dried strawberry
It's cheaper in here so why not~
~ Kokori Moolagen
Collagen is so common in here so brought one collagen tablet to try

8. Thai street stand stall

All inspired leather tote bag, folder and pouch, at a same stall is not more than 500 baht, 400++ baht only.

Near central world stall, the uncle selling one for 10 baht only! Wish to buy all (justkidding) but I only buy what I need/want. Bunny hair tie and hair band (Polka dot and stripes fever).

Not the same stall. 5 pouches similar like Naraya one just without brand. Honestly I would recommend this than Naraya cause it's cheaper and same quality! But Naraya have a lot of series of design so both also very nice lah.

~Card holder
~ 2 in 1 pouch

I think clothes is the damages of all. Brought mostly at Pratunam mall, market etc. Mall is slightly expensive but quality is really good!

Street food, left is like common satay ikan type. Right is fried pork belly or skin I not sure. My dad said it's not nice but I think it's okay. Very crunchy and local people eat this with sticky rice.

9. China Town street food

Left mini crabs with spices, looks rare. And right is squid in red.

So, that's all my haul! It's a long one, I wanted to split but I think I just make all in one it's easier! Actually I can make review immediately cause I almost tried all the foods I brought and will definitely write what I regret to buy and regret to buy less! Or is it that good~ See ya!

Bake Japanese Sweet Potato 烤地瓜

Anyeong! I've been craving these sweet potato for months, but timing is always wrong cause I'll only crave when it's... night lol. Haha. So I've brought these japanese sweet potato at supermarket and will make it when I feel to eat, so smart :wiggle:

Steam sweet potato and becoming soup or desert is nice but not as nice as bake in oven, seriously the taste is 1397259 different I can say. So these is the steps for making sweet potato, super easy!

1. Put in the refrigerator (Freezer) for 45 minutes (lock the juice of sweet potato, I tried not to put, yes there's differences)
2. Pre heat oven for 200 degrees
3. Take it out, and yes you can bake it immediately (without defroze etc)
4. Bake for about 30 minutes depending on size, I bake for like almost an hour
5. And when it's done, poke through a chopstick (if the chopstick can go through, means its done!) you're good to eat!

In case you need translation..

*Drools* Look how good it is in inside. Steam the texture and sweetness totally is different thing okay! heheh

Enjoy ~ Anyway if purchase at outside count by gram, the cost is X5 lol *wink*

Uncle Tetsu, Japanese Cheese Cake Review

The cake that raving in Taiwan, Japan, and China is finally and officially in Malaysia. Yay! This is super famous and I heard queue is needed in other country, including here in Malaysia! At least of 10 minutes wait I can say? And I got mine yesterday at One Utama, I didn't know it's already in Malaysia until I walk by and I was like Oh I know that cake. I watched Taiwanese variety show about foods and a lot people (Artists) seems to be very into it. Not to mention the cute little mascot logo is eye catching and easy to remember! heh!

So back into the point, if you're cheesecake lover (Duh, if not you won't be tempted to try), you definitely got to try this! But bear in mind, Japanese cheese cake and American cheese cake such as New York cheese cake, marble.... is totally different! From the texture and the amount of cheese they used.

American cheesecake is more moist and more cheese in a spoon, it's like mouthful of cheese.

Japanese cheesecake is very light of cheese, mild, and milky while the texture is soft and fluffy.

Depends on your liking, personally I think both are equally good and nice! For light snacks definitely Japanese cheesecake suit my liking, however, for brunch or evening high tea is always american cheesecake.

I can totally finish a whole Japanese cheesecake! Due to not too cheesy and just nice light flavour, it's not like if you have too much you would feel like throwing up, not for this!

Lastly, is this worth? Yes I would say, I always don't believe on baking my own cause the cost and time is more than what it cost and most important is no taste guarantee. Haha just saying but baking is sometimes fun... until the amount of dish washing...

And something I found in weibo, looks so good (Credit to owner) In Taiwan.
